Judar uses nicknames for most characters, usually not very nice ones, mostly in order to annoy them. But I really like it that one of the Magi anime guide books goes out of its way to specifically point out that Hakuryuu is Judar’s favourite, and that Judar has no nicknames for him.
Similarly, Hakuryuu refers to everyone very politely. He even calls Judar “Lord Priest” in the beginning, but when they team up, he starts saying “Judar” with no honorifics. So Hakuryuu is the person Judar will speak to as respectfully as it gets for him, and Judar is the person Hakuryuu will speak to as casually as it gets for him.
